In the shadow of downtown, an office-conversion project is angling to appeal to adherents of high ceilings, exposed old brick, stained concrete flooring, and other raw elements that lend Atlanta lofts charm.

Called the Brick House Lofts, the Whitehall Street redo is technically across the street from Castleberry Hill, but it still exudes that arty, loft-district feel.

The listing touts a location close to basically everything southwest of Midtown—MARTA, West End, the Beltline, universities, a gas station. As such, it carries a strong 77 WalkScore.

Beyond that, attributes include ceiling heights between 12 and 16 feet, original period details, bountiful natural light from oversized bedroom windows, and kitchens with farm sinks.

The building’s three listings thus far begin at $199,900 (one bedroom; 748 square feet) and climb up to $279,000, which is the loft (unit 105) photographed above and below. It offers two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and 1,053 square feet.

According to an old LoopNet listing, the 1920 building as offices counted 14,345 square feet with off-street parking and a garage. It contained several offices with break rooms and storage at the time.

But maybe (despite its not-quite-finished status in photos) it looks like Home Sweet Home now.
